Sometimes it helps to write little things instead of trying for a whole story, or an episode if you like the idea of a continuing character.

One time in college, I found a girl in a wheelchair stuck in a bathroom, and had to help her get out. I was pissed enough that, with the garbage can where it was, the door would open to let her in but not out again. And then she mentioned that several other women *walked away* when they discovered she was stuck in there. So maybe look for a situation where your character can and will do something that other people are walking away from.
